Electric Vehicle (EV) Battery Shipping and Storage Packaging Solutions

Product Description

Lithium-ion batteries are vital to the safe operation of the electric and hybrid vehicles on the road today. However, when Americase partnered with a major EV manufacturer, we discovered a critical gap: There were no proven safe solutions to help automotive manufacturers ship their prototype, functional, and damaged, defective, or recalled (DDR) batteries. Recognizing the need for a purpose-built solution, Americase applied its mission-critical engineering approach to develop an innovative packaging system designed to support manufacturers both today and as battery technologies continue to evolve.

Versatility became the primary design objective. The result was a containment system engineered around three distinct form factors, enabling accommodation of multiple battery sizes—current and future—within each configuration. This adaptable architecture helps manufacturers safely manage prototype development, field returns, and DDR scenarios while maintaining compliance confidence and operational continuity.
