Randy Walker brings more than 40 years of experience in hazardous materials operations, safety, training, and logistics to HazMat Safety Consulting. His career includes senior leadership roles supporting high-consequence materials programs at organizations such as Los Alamos National Laboratory and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where he provided technical direction for complex hazardous materials operations, including the transport of radioactive and nuclear materials.
Prior to joining HazMat Safety Consulting, Randy established and managed transportation operations and packaging compliance programs across five Lockheed Martin sites. In these roles, he built scalable systems that strengthened regulatory compliance while improving operational performance and cost control—demonstrating a consistent ability to align safety, efficiency, and mission objectives.
A Certified Transportation Broker and former Chairman of the DOE Contractor Transportation Management Association (CTMA), Randy currently serves as a member of the N14 ANSI Standards Committee, contributing to the development of technical standards related to nuclear materials transportation. He has held both DOE Q and Department of Defense Top Secret clearances, reflecting the high level of trust and responsibility associated with his work.
Randy holds a Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Transportation from University of Tennessee. Known as a corporate troubleshooter, he has built a reputation for transforming complex, high-risk programs into compliant, sustainable, and operationally sound systems.
