Margaret brings nearly four decades of public-sector experience in hazardous materials enforcement, environmental protection, and disaster response to HazMat Safety Consulting. She previously served for 14 years as a Hazardous Materials Investigator with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Office of Hazardous Materials Safety, where she conducted compliance investigations, interpreted complex regulatory requirements, and supported enforcement actions across the hazardous materials transportation sector.

Prior to her federal service, Margaret spent more than 24 years with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, developing deep expertise in environmental compliance, safety oversight, and regulatory application. Her career reflects a consistent focus on translating regulatory requirements into practical, enforceable operational controls.

Margaret also served as a Logistics Manager for FEMA, where she supported emergency response operations during natural disasters—applying her knowledge of safety protocols, supply chain coordination, and regulatory compliance under time-critical conditions. This operational experience enhances her ability to help clients build resilient, compliant programs that function effectively in both routine and high-pressure environments.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry from Franklin Pierce University and a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Through investigative experience, regulatory fluency, and operational leadership, Margaret supports HazMat Safety Consulting’s mission to deliver practical, defensible, and compliance-focused dangerous goods solutions.
